Parents Corner: Testimonials

Kids And Parents Love Butterflies and Beyond

August 9, 2011

To the Staff at Butterflies,

We thank each of you who have played a part in “Our village it takes to raise a child.”  From Mrs. Meline and Ms. Sherry who welcomed us each day with a bright smile and helpful Ms. Rita and Ms. Joyce–our girls’ first teachers–instilling basic and honorable values while having some fun!  To Ms. Denise–there are no words to describe or fully capture Ms. Denise so all I will say is WOW!!!   We will miss your warm and welcoming spirit each morning and the wonder and awe of what we will be learning today!   Ms. Johnetta’s calm spirit and steady guidance which complimented Ms. Kelly’s spunk and style.  Now–wrap up the day with a welcome and farewell from Ms. Loretta and Ms. Cathy–both of which warm your heart and are always willing to assist!  If I have left anyone out–I apologize–I know that each and every staff member played an integral part in the growth and development of Amelie and Camille over the past few years–THANK YOU!  It truly does take a village to raise a child and we are so blessed and thankful that Butterflies and the staff have been a part of our village!

In appreciation,
Paul, Tara, Amelie & Camille

P.S.  Ms. Carolyn–Thank you for managing a top notch child care
facility!  May you receive as you give.

Dear Ms. Carolyn Hall,

I want to write a letter of appreciation and recommendation for my son’s teacher - Ms. Joyce.  She has done an amazing job and really goes above and beyond on a daily basis.  James’ transitions between classes went much more smoothly than I ever expected because Ms. Joyce was so warm and loving.  She has spent immense amounts of time with James teaching him his letters, colors, numbers and independence.  She is always loving, sweet, caring and puts in the time to give me daily “updates” and “news.”  Ms. Joyce has really been more than I could ever ask for and I want to convey to you, as well as her, how much my son and I appreciate everything.  Ms. Joyce is a phenomenal teacher and needs to be praised and treasured!

James will be moving on to elementary school at the end of the summer.  However, we will be leaving Butterflies with fond memories and nothing but good words and feelings.  Thank you so much for the wonderful teachers and positive, educational and supportive environment in Ms. Joyce’s class!

Ms. Carolyn,

While we are excited about our move (to Houston), all of us will sincerely miss the fine people and fun activities at Butterflies and only hope to find similarly rewarding child care in our new area.  We want to thank all involved for having created a safe, caring environment for us to entrust our children the last few years.

Miss Denise,

I had heard how wonderful a teacher you are, but I am happy I had the chance to experience it....and now again with Rachel and Michelle.  I love when Kaitlyn comes home and tells me things she has learned and is excited about.  Thank you for being a terrific teacher and I am happy I will still see you every morning.

Ms. Gail,

What a truly wonderful teacher you have been to Lucy!  Your creativity and thoughtfulness is evident in all you do for Lucy and all her school friends.  If you are like Lucy, you like chocolate, popcorn and movies.  This is such a small token of our appreciation of you–thanks again.

P.S.  We love the binder you made – it’s an extremely
special keepsake.

Dear Ms. Edonia,

We just wanted to tell you how much we appreciate your caring for Tucker with so much love and affection.  It is a comforting thought to know he’s with someone like you when he’s not able to be with his family.  It takes a special person to nurture and care for so many youngsters.  God has definitely blessed us by sending you to be Tucker’s teacher.

With unending gratitude,

Lisa and Tucker

March, 2008

Ms. Edonia,

You were one of the best teachers ever and I will miss you too much.  But I enjoyed all of our years together.

From: Carissa (Age 11)

Dear Denise,

I’m very sad today, as this is the last day that Tucker will be under your care.  I don’t think Tucker really understands that this is his last day at Butterflies and his last day in your class. Otherwise, I know he’d be in tears.  “Thank you” can never express my gratitude for all you’ve done for Tucker.  You are a teacher in every sense of the word.

With My Love and Admiration,

December 2007

Ms. Denise,

Thank you for always caring for Tucker as if he were your own.  You’ve instilled in him from an early age what a good teacher is and for that we thank you.  Merry Christmas and May God Bless You and Yours!

Dear Mrs. Edonia,

Your heart is full of love and kindness, but everyone says love is gross but not you because you keep your head up and I know nothing will bring you down.....   When people just ask for stuff and are being mean to you, you say stop that and that’s what I like about you and you have a gift of love because you love all people and I think sometimes you want to scream but you can’t and I don’t want you to change because you’re the nicest person on the planet.

Hannah (Age 12)

P.S.  I love you.

I wanted to express my appreciation to you and your staff for the excellent care you have provided for Kaylynn.  She has enjoyed her time at your center and will miss her teachers and friends she has made throughout the years.  I have, and will continue to recommend Butterflies to anyone I know that is looking for a daycare.

Ms. Gail,

Thank you for caring for me and loving me the way that you do.  Every day, I look forward to spending my days with you.  I know that my Mom is thankful for you.  She told me that after meeting you for the first time, she knew I would be a-ok.  My Mom also told me that if she could create a person, from scratch, to take care of me, she would make YOU!  I am blessed to have you in my life!

Jacey, (Age one, written with help from Mom)

January 2, 2002

Ms. Carolyn,

I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the wonderful care provided to Annelise while she attended Butterflies.  I am very impressed with the quality of child care and the level of experience of your well-trained staff.  Of course, this is all made possible by the exceptional manner in which Butterflies is managed.

I would highly recommend Butterflies to anyone in search of a topnotch child care facility.
Best wishes personally and professionally to you and your staff!

Ms. Edonia,

It’s easy to spot the teachers who have that special gift to touch a child’s heart.  You are truly a one of a kind teacher and we will always remember your kindness and generosity to Kathryne.

Gary and Barna

You were the best teacher at Butterflies.

Kathryn (Age 8)

We appreciate the care and love you have given our child.  We will never forget this part of his life and journey.  You should be very proud of your gift to others.

Thank you,
Herbert, Virginia and Garrett

Ms. Gail,

Thank you so much for taking such good care of Janson.  We feel blessed to have 3 such great teachers for Janson.  I especially like the way you keep me informed of Janson’s day when I pick him up.  Thanks for all you do and, HAPPY TEACHERS APPRECIATION WEEK!

Alison and Travis

P.S.  Thanks also for helping him roll over!

Ms. Gail,

Bringing Kaylyn to day care was very hard for me to do.  I was afraid she would not be given enough attention or love.  I’m happy to say you have proven me wrong.  You are so great with Kaylyn and the other babies.  Kaylyn gets so excited when she sees you in the morning.  You are one of the few people that can take her from me without her crying.  Although Kaylyn loves all her teachers, I believe you’re her favorite.  I wish you could continue to be with Kaylyn.  I no longer worry about bringing Kaylyn to day care because I know y’all will take great care of her.  You have one of the most important jobs in the world.  Thank you for doing it so well.

Candice and Kaylyn

June 27, 2000

Dear Carolyn,

Nothing is more important to us than our children’s well being.  Your facility has consistently impressed us as not only a safe and educational environment for Casey and Courtney, but an entertaining and nurturing one as well.

I am grateful to you and each of your employees for their assistance in raising our children.  In particular, two members of your staff have been particularly outstanding in the performance of their duties.  Ms. Sherry and Ms. Anita have each treated our daughter with the kindness and love that I have hardly come to expect from my own family.  They have instilled into Courtney a sense of fulfillment that we struggle to match in our own home.  I owe them more than they will ever know...I am sure that they are equally valuable to you.

Thank you,

June, 2000

To the staff of Butterflies:

Thank you for the love, kindness, and care that you have shown my children over the last 3 ½ years.  From Ms. Gail, Ms. Tammy, Ms. Johnette, Ms. Carolyn, Ms. Edonia, Ms. Denise. Ms. Kat, Ms. Jessica, Ms. Jenifer and to all other caregivers (present and past) that I may not have mentioned, I thank you....    Please enjoy the roses and take one home.  I hope it brightens your day as you have brightened their lives.

Dear Ms. Gail,

Thank you for taking such great care of me.  Thanks for feeding me when I’m hungry (especially bananas, my favorite!), for changing my diapers, laughing with me and clapping, and holding me tight when I’m tired.  Thanks for everything!  You’re the Best!

To: Mrs. Gail and Miss Nicole,

Thank you so much for your positive influence in Victoria’s life.  I truly appreciate the gift the two of you have been.  Your guidance on a day-to-day basis for Victoria was a blessing.  It isn’t easy leaving her during the day, but knowing that she is being cared for well makes it that much easier.  So thank you.

Kristin and Victoria

To Butterflies:

We have loved Butterflies and thank you so much for taking such good care of Eric.  His teacher has been a blessing!

Mrs. Edonia,

I want to thank you for all the encouragement you have given me and the imprint you have made on me.
